Retail Business Strategies in the USA and Canada

One way to make an online store popular is to use marketing strategies, plan ahead, and care about making customers happy. Here are some important tips that will help you open and run a successful online store:Do market research to find your niche. Do a lot of study on the market to find your niche and target market. Find out what they like, what they want, and where they feel uncomfortable.

Check out what your rivals are doing to see how your store can be different and where the gaps in the market are

Choose the Right E-commerce Platform: Choose an e-commerce platform that works with your business needs and the technology you have access to. A lot of people choose Magento, BigCommerce, WooCommerce (WordPress), and Shopify. Mobile Optimization: Make sure that your online store works well on phones. A big chunk of internet usersIf you work at Sprint and are good at it, I'll assume you know about the plans that Verizon, ATT, and other companies give. Let's say you work as an insurance agent for Farmers Insurance. I'll assume you know at least a little about the plans and bundles that Quicken Loans, State Farm, Geico, and other companies offer. Finally, I hope you get what I mean with this one. A competitive edge over your rivals comes from knowing who they are. It's not because I work for Apple that I can tell a customer with a big smile that Samsungs break. But because every business has its own benefits. Say you want to get a new phone line. Sprint might be a better option than Verizon because their plans are less expensive. But Verizon's service is better than Sprint's, which is the catch. If you combine your cable and internet service with AT&T, your cell phone line might be cheaper. While we're talking about it, I'll tell you right now that one of the most important signs of a bad salesperson is talking badly about rivals. It is not okay to talk about Takata airbag recalls on Nissan cars when you are trying to sell someone a Ford. And that example is so extreme that it turns off a possible customer in a big way. I'll say it again so you fully understand.DO NOT HAVE BAD MOUTH COMPETITORS.

When you're selling an appliance like a fridge, you should be aware that your rivals may have pieces that you can't get anywhere else. For instance, GE (General Electric) is the only name that has the Slate Finish right now. I've sold a few just to make a sale, but my main job was to teach Home Depot Appliance Department Specialist how to sell Whirlpool goods and those made by Whirlpool. People were interested in the goods because of this feature, but they were limited in what they could do and how much they cost. The GE-only Slate color is shown below.I know that some buyers wanted this color, so please tell me a few things.

This buyer is ready to spend more on a unique look

A customer who is only looking for a fridge will almost certainly not have a matching set in their kitchen if they go out of their way to buy this based on finish. This is where I can explain better color choices to the customer. Ten times out of ten, the lucky few people who bought Slate Finishes from GE's appliance line bought the whole set. The point is that I didn't attack my rival; I just knew that the product took away a possible choice for this customer. Because, in the worst case, they were trying to buy a certain brand or color. What if it's not a Whirlpool, Amana, Kitchen Aid, or Maytag? I will slowly bother my customer by bringing up an important problem.

"Well, ma'am, this is the color finish you told me about. Is this what you wanted?"Customer: "Yes, I looked at this one online!"There's no doubt that this color has gotten a lot of attention. It's also one of my faves. In fact, only GE has this color. (I hard close the customer at this point to make them think about the product and what it means to have this one-of-a-kind trait right away. A hard close means that you don't care about the sale at all; it's like, "GUYS, BUY IT NOW I DARE YOU!"

The only problem is that the customer couldn't afford to match the whole kitchen without buying the whole suite

The customer did say that the suite was very pretty, though.Okay, so, boom! I told this customer about what they thought they wanted and promoted it in a way that makes them think about the pros and cons of buying it again. Though, there will be the very rare customer who doesn't mind getting the whole set.

I'm now taking the customer to a different color finish that might go well with what they already have. This is why I'm talking about the black stainless steel finish.I show the customer the Samsung fridge and start to talk about the new Black Stainless Steel finish. Almost all of the time, people are amazed as they look at this. All of this is part of the plan, my friend. This finish is only found on Kitchen Aid (my company), Samsung, and LG. Even though Kitchen Aid is the most expensive brand Whirlpool has to offer, it is still the better of the three options. The LG and Samsung versions cost between $2,000 and $4,000, but the Kitchen Aid only costs between $1,500 and $2,000. The customer falls in love with the finish right away, but then they see that the price is a bit higher than they thought. On top of that, Kitchen Aid is the only company that offers a matte black steel finish instead of the shiny finish that most other brands offer.
